Workshop Overview

The Singapore Machine Perfusion Workshop is an interactive, hands-on event designed to enhance the understanding and application of advanced machine perfusion techniques in liver transplantation. This comprehensive workshop provides a unique opportunity for participants to learn from global experts about the latest innovations in organ preservation, repair, and assessment through hypothermic and normothermic perfusion methods.

A key strength of the hand-on workshop is the use of large animal models, including pigs, to provide a realistic and practical learning experience

Learning Objectives

Understand the principles of hypothermic and normothermic liver perfusion, including their applications in organ repair, assessment, and preservation.
Develop hands-on skills in cannulation techniques for various machine perfusion systems.
Explore the use of normothermic regional perfusion (NRP), including its opportunities and limitations in clinical practice.
Gain insights into ischemia-free liver preservation and its potential to revolutionize transplantation outcomes.
Engage with experts during a panel discussion to address key challenges and innovations in liver perfusion technologies.
